In two years we have:- Developed and implemented a new strategic plan to double fundraising in three years. - Through work plans, performance metrics and a donor centered major gift strategy, increased cash donations by 50% in year one.- Stabilized, strengthened and grown a terrific staff team by 40%.- Developed the Nanaimo Healthcare Ecosystem and the Fair Care Alliance to successfully advocate for a new 600 bed patient tower and Cath Lab.

Recruited to UCI as a change agent I was tasked with creating a new strategic plan to ensure UCI's alumni became fully engage in the life of the university locally, nationally and globally. I also actively participated in the design of UCI's new institutional strategic plan and today its clear that alumni are now recognized as a vital partner in UCI's bright future. I also had the honor of overseeing UCI's Center for Emeriti and Retirees.

Primary focus was the startanevolution.ca campaign a very ambitious and unique, dual goal campaign to double active alumni engagement and raise $1.5 billion by 2015.I also worked on building and maintaining external relationships with key alumni to encourage further participation with UBC.As well I worked with our in-market staff and volunteers on our actitives in Asia. With a focus on Hong Kong where we have our Asia Pacific Office and China.

Primary focus was building and maintaining our external relationships with UBC’s 260,000 alumni locally, nationally and internationally. Areas of strategic importance included building a volunteer infrastructure to facilitate alumni contributing to UBC as volunteers. Stewardship of key “alumni connectors” and fostering a culture of engagement among students and young alumni. We worked to increase our scope of program offerings in the Lower Mainland through UBC Dialogues, The Next Step Series and partnership events. I facilitated a team of ten in Vancouver and Hong Kong along with some great volunteers. In addition I was the alumni lead on the design of the startanevolution.ca campaign for UBC and prior to that the UBC Links project architecture as well as Alumni Weekend and the Alumni Achievement Awards.

Worked to secure over $125,000,000 in new revenue for the infrastructure of the University though corporate relations, public private partnerships, fundraising and government relations.

I was hired as part of a new team to redevelop the Foundation's development programs from top to bottom. A big highlight was ideating and creating the now famous Lights of Hope Campaign where we lit up the hospital in December creating a landmark for our patients and donors and the city of Vancouver. Another highlight was creating a major gift program and also being given licence to re-craft the annual giving program as we sought to wean the Foundation off of reliance on condo lottery funding.

Co-founded a full service fundraising and communications agency with a large staff of contractors; provided non-profit campaign planning and strategic project management services for a wide variety of clients.

This is where I found out that I loved fundraising. Starting as a special events coordinator I was quickly given additional responsibilities and over the next five years gained experience and insight into every aspect of fundraising.

Worked on a broad range of accounts, providing client services, public relations, media buying and special event services.

Managed advertising and public relation activities for the $13 million Canada Safeway account for Western Canada.
