I've been in sales and business development for a while now, and worked almost exclusively in service. Throughout my career, I've been fairly adept at seeking out opportunities that the competition might otherwise ignore by trying to think differently to make things work. As a result, I've managed to accidentally fill a niche of being the main contact if there's a difficult/technical/complex problem to resolve whether it be sales or even operations. I've managed teams, developed new business, saved business, account managed, and have a decent track record in being trusted, versatile and reliable a safe pair of hands both with my colleagues and with clients. Working in service is about delivering, and things don't always go in the way you intend so, I've been happy to get stuck in to wherever requires the support to make sure whatever the issue is, gets sorted. Everywhere, I've worked my initial pure sales role has become something more complex as I've then been utilised to help with other projects. I learn stuff, I talk to people. Hopefully, I've managed to miss out most of the cliches out but I'm very useful to have around.
