He is also a documentary film-maker, having produced and co-directed the independent film The Road to Sparta (2016), and journalism teacher. As a writer I have worked for top clients such as Reuters, AFP, The Times, The Guardian, Sunday Times, Irish Times, Scotland on Sunday and South China Morning Post; as a radio reporter for the BBC, RFI and SABC and five years as a drivetime host for Athens International Radio (2004-09). I have worked as a live sport commentator for Canal + (French Top 14 rugby 2020-present), Eurosport (Top 14 rugby, Grand Slam tennis, T20 cricket, cross-country skiing, table tennis), HBS (international football). I also produced, wrote and presented daily 52-minute highlight packages for HBS during the 2021 French Open Tennis at Roland Garros.For six years (1998-2004) I worked as a freelance managing editor to Blendon communications, responsible for the editorial quality and production six magazines while operating as hands-on Editor of British Regional Airlines' in-flight magazine Skylines. In 2016, my independently-produced documentary film 'the Road to Sparta' was released. It collected a number of awards including a Special Recommendation at the British Sports Journalists annual awards in 2017.
