A hobby project that turned into something bigger!Building & maintaining the website & CAD software for an online e-commerce platform. This involves automating customised purchasing pipelines for the products in the catalogue via Laravel into Dockerised 3D OpenSCAD. The files that are produced are then used within 3D Print software to output the physical products.The platform integrates with Instagram for marketing, MakerWorld for exposure & Etsy for B2C sales.

As an Engineering Lead my focus split has been around 50/50 (engineering/people). Directing traffic and ensuring the work that comes into our squad with my Product managers, & System Engineers aligned to business goals. I've led a multi-disciplinary teams to deliver 2 high profile projects whilst at G4M among other achievements. The day to day was breaking down project work into smaller chunks for our engineers to accessibly work on them within sprints alongside ensuring my squad is working to the highest potential and finding ways on a 1-2-1 level to make sure this is achieved for the squad engineers.

Joined Gear4Music as a senior with the view to move back into a Lead Role. Easier to get a boots on the ground view of the systems and a great way to find out what a lead looks like to G4M. Working with 2 large scale monoliths and hundreds of repos that make up the G4M eco-system. Regularly interacting with Docker, PHP MVC Frameworks, Unit Testing & modern JS frontend systems.

Working through referrals and finding work on online to build a portfolio of Websites in college I felt it necessary to find out what working for myself would be like and this has continued to grow into Brandies. With over ten years of Wordpress & SAAS Engineering knowledge, I've worked with hundreds of clients in varying degrees of Web Development to provide a quality service.

Joined Milexa looking for growth inside a medium business, this role was fast moving working on 2 large Wordpress based Monoliths across a distributed cloud system. This role involved building both software and infrastructure, working on bespoke products for the Milexa Group umbrella sites but also working on Docker optimisation and customised REST API Integrations with Third Parties such as Xero & Made.com.This was a role that very much leant into working across all departments the company with varying departments, including very closely with the design teams to ensure the frontend was fit for our brand.

Building and developing both front end and back end web applications for clients. This includes using pre-existing CMS solutions or building bespoke systems to achieve the perfect results. Focussing primarily on Wordpress & MVC Frameworks, Cyberfrog Design allowed me to channel my freelance work into something more sustainable and allowed me to really focus on how to produce good work across varied requirements.
