Contract assignment was at Senesco Marine LLC in North Kingstown, Rhode Island. Ensured that production packages were delivered error free for articulated tug boat and bulk barge projects. As Project Engineer I was a liaison between the project manager and the technical disciplines involved in our projects, which included the drafting, structural and naval architecture departments. I was the primary technical point of contact for the shipyards building our rig designs. My responsibilities included schedule preparation, pre-planning and resource forecasting for structural engineering and technical queries. I ensured projects were completed according to project plans. I managed and trained project team resources.

As Senior Structural Engineer, I completed a fatigue analysis on the leg structure for a wind turbine installation vessel that operates in the North Sea.

As Structural Engineer, I analyzed structural components and structural systems of jackup and semi-submersible drilling vessels in accordance with AISC and classification society rules and guidelines ensuring adequate strength to resist all appropriate structural loads (e.g., gravity, wave, current, wind, snow, sea pressure, and accelerations due to roll, pitch, and heave). Typical structures designed included MODU hulls, helidecks, living quarters, crane pedestals, derricks, cantilever and drill floor systems.

Completed structural plan review for navy ships. I issued comments for any discrepancies found between calculation reports and ship drawings. After all comments were resolved a letter of approval was submitted to the client for the ship plans.

Worked as a field engineer, structural engineer, and research and development analyst. Field engineering work typically was to verify structure built by shipyard craft workers that differed from that shown on the plans. Structural engineering work was primarily analyzing ship structure and equipment foundations for shock and vibration requirements. After transferring to R&D, I completed the lifting and handling analysis for the half size superstructure of the DDG-1000 destroyer that was built for RCS testing in a remote location in Western United States.
