I studied and obtained my insurance license and began selling group health insurance and pension plans to businesses. In 2002, I accepted a position as the General Manager for a large payroll company in Virginia and was responsible for both sales and operations for multiple offices up and down the east coast. I was back in the payroll business and learned the operations side of the business.

While working for ADP, I attended Graduate Business School at New York University in the evenings, and earned my Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) in 1987.
