Throughout my career, I've seen firsthand the power of technology to solve complex problems and to generate wealth and prosperity to many. Yet, I've also noted its underutilization in addressing pressing global issues such as disaster relief and ethical recruiting of migrant workers. In working with some of the largest companies and organizations, I've witnessed the genuine efforts of many highly competent individuals striving to improve our world and yet - I left wondering: * Why isn't technology being fully harnessed to fight the battles of our time? * Why can some secure a job in 15 minutes, no matter where they are, while others must pay 11 months' salary for potentially exploitative work? * Why can I get a meal delivered in 60 minutes for a small fee, while an emergency food box, funded by donors, can take days or weeks to arrive, often incurring up to 50% overhead costs?These questions led to the founding of PollyLabs. Supported by the invaluable contributions and collective power of visionary individuals, we are pioneering the concept of repurposing technology for good, a novel approach to tackling some of the world's most pressing issues.
