In 2005 we formed a company with a simple but important ambition: to understand and improve life in our cities. For over a decade now we have done exactly that.Right Angle Studio has started a number of successful businesses including Australia’s first independent online city guides The Thousands, Melbourne’s Rooftop Cinema and Sydney’s Golden Age Cinema & Bar. We do these projects because our cities need them, because we learn from them, and because we enjoy taking our own risks.We also do work for clients. The majority are big such as Mirvac, Tourism Victoria, Lend Lease, Monash University, Stockland, GPT, City Of Sydney and CommBank, but we also work with niche businesses like COS, The Future Laboratory, MCA, Hotel Hotel, Caydon and Unlisted Collection. For us the important thing is not the company’s size, but rather its capacity to be an agent of positive change in the lives of its customers. All our clients come to us because we have creative talent and an entirely unique understanding of inner-urban audiences. We have focused entirely on this group right across Australia for ten years. That’s why we consistently deliver insightful research, unique creative ideas, elegant strategies, placemaking activations and compelling content on behalf of clients who also want to be a meaningful part of the inner-urban lifestyle.

By avoiding the cliches of gym culture such as synthetic, stressful environments and obsessive behaviour we’ve created an alternative to being healthy - one that is thoughtful, approachable and effective for the long-term.

Golden Age Cinema & Bar is one of Sydney's most-loved entertainment experiences. Nestled in the foot of Paramount House it shows art-house films in a 56 seat theatre next to a bar that serves exceptional Negronis.
