CurrentSpecialises in solving complex real-time problems in safety critical industries and has recently been involved with:- Software and electronics development of air-conditioning and washing machine motor controllers. - Embedded implementation of DQ transformations for sensorless vector control of both induction and PMSM motors. - Development of a custom communications stack based on the OSI model, allowing isolated communication between various power stages. - Software design of a real-time system, providing improvements to allow the use of low cost bare-metal ARM micro-controllers. - Flight control software audit in Europe to review against DO178 quality standard. - Induction motor modelling for new motor starter technique of multi kW sized motors.- Python automation test system for 24/7 motor control testing in our Auckland lab with full motor controller data acquisition and storage for detailed post analysis of motor control algorithms. - Simulation modelling of motor (in C) for closed-loop automated software testing of embedded systems. - Helping clients to use Linux in embedded systems including kernel development support.- Development and automatic testing of SCADA routers.- Analysis of CPU exception records and crash dumps.- Replication of difficult to reproduce bugs in isolation.- In depth stack and memory analysis.
