After a short break and moving back to Australia with the intention of semi retirement, I got bored so have been lucky enough to work here on the Gold Coast.Prior to that and with 20+ years in the Procurement/Operations/Logistics area I made a change and move from the buying side to the selling side and took on the role as Principle Renewals Manager, Asia. It was interesting to use my experience on the other side of the table. However I have since moved on and moved back to Australia and taken on a role promoting Golf Tours throughout Asia.Previously having worked in various organisations from Electronic Manufacturing, Home Electronics, Medical Equipment, Medical Consumables to indirect Procurement. They all have one common objective and that is to increase the ROI & reduce the TCO. I have led from a procurement perspective in major projects such as setting up a Shared Services Centre for the Asia Pacific region. This covered 14 countries and took around 4 years to implement a central purchasing process and a centralised purchasing team, covering all commodities for indirect goods and services. Then set up the Strategic Procurement team for APAC to support the process.Implementing and rolling our procurement and finance systems such as Oracle i-procurement, Coupa e- procurement and Oracle R12 financials.Oversee the off-shoring of transactional processes to both internal & external locationsWas the Regional lead in regards to the contract management within the procurement function for M&A projects.Have spoken at various events and conferences namely:- CIPSA - Sydney- National Procurement Forum 2007 - Sydney (www.informa.com.au/procurement07)- Strategic Sourcing for Indirect Goods & Services 2008 - Singapore (http://www.iqpcevents.com/ShowEvent.aspx?id=43030&details=44572)Specialties: Purchasing, Logisitics and Warehousing.
