I am a U.S. Naval Veteran. I was in the Auxiliaries department on the Uss John Rodgers DD983 home port of Charleston SC. I worked on all phases of shipboard engineering to support ships power, steering , CHT plant, water treatment, sea water service , fire main , anchor windlass , reduction gearing , captains and motor well boats and emergency escape pods and equipment and associated rigging. I entered during the ships time in Portsmouth Va at Metro Machine ship yard as we underwent a major overhaul period. While in the shipyard I was trained in valve replacement and rebuilding of all ships electronically controlled motors and valves as well as the rebuilding process of the gas turbines. She was a Spruance Class Destroyer and one fine piece of engineering artwork. I will always be grateful for serving my country. Since leaving the Navy I have continued to refine my mechanical engineering skills and am presently employed for CBRE in an Amazon affiliate where I work in a robotics sort center in the facilities department. We run daily weekly monthly and quarterly/annual Planned maintenance tickets as well as any other as needed repairs to ensure our client receives first class attention to detail in the repair and maintenance of all buildings and conveyances.
