Barry M. Bloom engaged in the practice of law from October 1972 to April 2015. In 1978, after approximately six years of federal tax experience with the legal staff for the Internal Revenue Service (Office of the Chief Counsel in Washington, D.C., and Office of the Regional Counsel, Southwest Region, in Dallas, Texas), and earning an advanced law degree (LL.M.) in taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in Washington, D.C., Mr. Bloom entered the private practice of law. From 1978 until his retirement in April 2015, Mr. Bloom provided legal services to individuals and businesses, including, but not limited to, estate planning (wills, trusts, etc.), federal tax planning, and business planning. Mr. Bloom also provided clients with legal assistance and counseling concerning matters involving probate and administration of decedent's estates. As president of Barry M. Bloom, P.C., Mr. Bloom is engaged in the process of winding up the professional corporation in connection with its dissolution. For the past 35 years, Mr. Bloom has been rated AV by Martindale-Hubbell, which is the highest rating that Martindale-Hubbell gives to attorneys.
