As an assistant engineer on the Kinsale road interchange I gained invaluable experience in the construction of roads and bridges. My main duties included ordering materials, setting out construction wires to ensure correct levels of material was laid in keeping with regulation depths and densities required, and keeping track of deliveries while in constant contact with the materials plant.
