Ensure that all construction is completed in reasonable conformance with the contract documents and sound engineering and safety practices and all related and required documentation is done in a clear, concise, complete, and correct manner. Ensure the contract is administered in a fair and equitable manner and contractual obligations and actions are accurately documented. The interest of SHA, FHWA, and other agencies are safeguarded at all times. All issues are resolved in a timely manner by interfacing with SHA support teams as necessary. I supervised the work of the CID personnel assigned to the project and make specific primary and secondary assignments to each and ensure that their work is completed in conformance with the contract documents. I gave guidance and assisitance to less experienced employees. Review and approve all of the inspection staff records to include but not limited to: Inspectors Daily Report, hours worked, weekly time report, expense statement, leave request, and similar records and reports. Provide technical guidance and support to office and field inspection personnel assigned to the project. Review work done by the inspection staff. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with contractors, CID staff, SHA support teams, other agencies, and the general public. I was the SHA’s authorized on-site representative responsible for the oversight of all work required in the execution of the contract until final inspection, acceptance of the work, the completion of all contract documents and delivery to the District Engineer.
