Revenues grew from $20 million to $50 million in 4 years. Company made more money as a % of sales at $50 million than at $20 million.Became VP Sales & Marketing for an independent foodservice distributorship after more than a decade as a financial advisor to the Owners.Developed marketing plan to re-define that distributor's relationship with its independent restaurant operator customers as a partnership focused on SELLING FOOD, not PURCHASING INGREDIENTS, and then led the execution of that plan.Goal was to grow the company to $50 million in annualized PROFITABLE sales in order to make it a viable acquisition candidate. We didn't give away the store to get there -- the company made more money as a % of sales at $50 million than it did at $20 million. Company DID get sold on-schedule (for a price that created financial options for its owners that they couldn't have imagined when they started the business) and is today a $400 million business owned by one of the largest hedge funds in the US.
