Principal Strategies and Trading 2004-2008 • Ran a macro trading book across asset classes, helped manage the risk of the equity division which was exceptionally profitable during the Global Financial Crisis• Developed trading strategies including Fed policy related views utilizing yield curve trades during the crisis, credit spread widening across markets• Wrote internal macro strategy notes, spoke on morning calls for both equities and other productsEquity Derivatives 1989–2003 • Consolidated program trading, options, futures and swap sales into a generalist group, revenues increased 5 fold in 2 years • Structured a series of innovative transactions: Russell 2000 long and short index swaps before a futures contract was launched, S&P technology sector swap hedge during the TMT bubble, Dow Transports swap, synthetic ETFs in OTC option and swap forms prior to development of ETF sector funds, South Africa Free Fund conversions to index benchmarks after Apartheid• Known as early proponent of utilizing index options to implement tactical asset allocation following the rapid growth of these strategies after the Crash of 87
