Managed a team of 24.• Headhunted into what was a new acquisition for the Group, with the initial brief to get a handle on costs and stabilise the business working alongside a Consultant responsible for day-to-day operations.• Successfully met these challenges taking on the additional responsibility of Operations Manager in September 2014 of a biomass project that generates 14MWe by burning forestry wood and clean wood processing residues in a state-of-the-art combustion plant.• Managed the relationship with 2 partner organisations, the O&M Provider running the plant and the fuel supplier.• Drove an 80% reduction in the cost of the annual outage budget.• Completed the process management of a long-term contract for wood chipping, generating significant savings.
