At ANO reorganized Engineering to improve efficiency and aligned station priorities to improve safety culture. Provided leadership and oversight to develop a $1 billion 5-year investment strategy eliminating single point vulnerabilities, chronic/repetitive issues, and revitalizing aged, obsolete equipment to return ANO to safe, reliable and predictable operations.Transferred to Arkansas Nuclear One to recover the plant from NRC Column 4 to Column 1. Provided leadership and oversight to create and implement strategic plans to resolve flooding deficiencies, plant health ineffectiveness, preventive maintenance program performance gaps, and design/licensing basis deficiencies. As Engineering Director at Palisades Nuclear Station led the development of aging management and reliability initiatives to return the station to NRC ROP Column 1 from Column 3, INPO 1 Rating 2 and improving (2 strengths in Engineering) from 3 declining, and #1 Entergy Fleet Ranking.As General Manager Engineering and Engineering Director at Palisades provided leadership and project oversight to implement a number of significant reliability and safety improvements; $74 million Cooling Tower demolition/reconstruction, $150 million in NFPA 805 and Fukushima upgrades, and $15 million replacement of the Control Rod Drive Housings.At Palisades transformed the engineering culture to align priorities and resources to reduce the backlog of engineering corrective action assignments by 60%. Established clarity in priorities, improved the organizational response to equipment issues, elevated accountability, and morale to the highest levels ever achieved by the engineering staff at Palisades.

Effectively contributes expertise through the provision of supervision, leadership and management 145 engineers who perform design changes, engineering programs and equipment reliability practices and initiatives. Performed project prioritization based on economic value, impact on electrical system and plant reliability, impact on safety, impact on business functions, best use of resources, risk assessment, and other factors. Provided leadership for 145 engineers to facilitate the resolution of long standing problems associated with complex infrequently performed maintenance tasks and instituted an in-process management observation program of technical work. Skillfully managed the long range plan and capital budget; ensured that all engineering commitments were completed on time, on target, and within budget.
