I have extensive Director and Board level experience in all aspects of global corporate communications. I am a former journalist with 30 years of broad-based international corporate communications experience and have been very fortunate to have worked with leading listed companies, from FTSE to ASX and NYSE, going through momentous change.I founded Barry Gardner Communications to provide dedicated strategic advice and support to help businesses and organisations through first-class communications. I provide interim, contract and consultancy support to major global blue-chip B2B and B2C businesses.Prior to this, I was with Clydesdale and Yorkshire Banks for almost a decade culminating in driving the global external communications for the 2016 Demerger and IPO, leading media engagement programmes from the UK to Australia, and ultimately has returned the bank to independence for the first time since 1920. I was the lead spokesperson for CYBG PLC in the UK and globally with responsibility for the reputation of the banking group and its brands Clydesdale Bank and Yorkshire Bank.
