I work with startups and established companies (including GovInvest, NextRequest, PraetorianDigital and SAFEbuilt) targeting public sector audiences to provide expertise in marketing strategy, business development, revenue creation and implementation. Included in this work were efforts with both Govlaunch and GovBliss, two businesses focused on streamlining government procurement.

Expertise: selling into the state and local vertical and understanding how government officials purchase technology. Following the acquisition of EfficientGov by Praetorian Digital, I've been tasked with growing the local government division, which includes cloud revenue from the GrantFinder research tool (more than 1,000 clients) & GrantTracker management system (launching Q2 2016) as well as ad revenue for EfficientGov.com. Achieved 2015 growth of 175% with projected 2016 growth of 100%.

Reaching more than 50,000 municipal officials in 80+ countries, EfficientGov is the leading information service for local government. In addition to our weekly email newsletter and website, more than 300 cities, towns and counties subscribe annually to our GrantFinder online research tool to enhance funding opportunities for municipalities while simultaneously helping to cut the cost of local government.As of February 2014, EfficientGov is part of Praetorian Digital, the leading digital media company for public safety and local government

Third employee at publishing startup focused on corporate governance, risk and compliance. As VP sales and minority partner helped to shape path of company in regards to advertising and events. Helped company grow to $6 million in sales ultimately leading to acquisition by Haymarket Media in 2008. Inked deals ranging from $1k to $180k.

Oversaw team of 20 advertising and business development account executives responsible for approximately $20 million in advertising revenue (pre-bubble bursting). Had the fortune to occassionally work with Tom Curley, one of the original USA Today founders. Inked deals ranging from $10,000 to $3 million.

Startup content syndication company based on internet games as sticky applications for newspaper companies. Clients included 10 of the top 25 US newspapers based on circulation. Turned down offer from Stats, Inc. (now part of ESPN) for acquisition. Should've taken that offer.
