I was based at the head office of Cromwell at the head office in Wigston prior to deciding to take early retirement and also working out of the Dudley offices.Experience in developing and growing the groups core supplier and product ranges, on a diverse range of products including bearings, belts & drives systems, chain drives, condition monitoring and sealing product ranges.Additional responsibility for the Fluid Power, Pneumatic & Hydraulic components, Gearboxes and Electric motors.Developing a strong supplier relationship using Supplier Management Systems to manage a large and growing portfolio of leading manufacturers to support the groups business strategy.The role involves creating of and maintaining a large database of SKU's along with providing details and products for inclusion in the groups main catalogue and regular promotional materials.I have developed a unique and industry leading Link/Cross Selling programme to further maximise sales growth on my product ranges.This is a new division created only in 2010 to the UK's largest independent industrial consumable company with multi-branch operations.

Working as part of a team the Tools & General maintenance departmentDeveloping a strong portfolio of quaility suppliers to meet with sales growth and group strategy. Involved in full marketing activities including for a multi branch national fastener and fixings distributor and providing products into the main branch network of a 100 branches for Wyko Industrial Distrbution branches.Development and creation of all marketing and presentations materials Including corporate rebranding after becoming part of Wyko. Website creation and development plus all maintenance, PR activity for the division and creation of and full national launching of a new and unique van sales programme including working with a team to develop state of the art equipment to transact whilst with customers. Providing business to business systems via direct sales and vendor supply systems to lineside supply to OEM customers on a national basis.Creation of link selling and did you know programmes to grow sales as part of customer database cleansing and identifying large sales opportunities. Providing support as needed to the BFDA (British Fastener Distrubutor Association) with presentation materials when required.

Developing and maintaining suppliers and improving sales relationships for Sealing Products and working with over 100 branches in the UK.Responsible for developing marketing materials, PR, training, National sales support to the branch network.Ensuring sales of products grew ahead of budget to meet with group strategy. Creation and delivery of PowerPoint presentations to staff and customers at all levels.Also being able to visit customers to provide technical support and problem solving and engineering solutions.

Internal sales for bearings and power transmission products.Responsibility for ordering and maintaining a large inventory to service a large customer base.Working with a team of people to ensure customer service went beyond expectations. Supplying technical support over the phone and over a busy trade counter.

As part of the training process, the requirements to work in every department of a major national distribution organisation. Working from the start of the process of the goods-inwards department through to accounts and packing departments. Working as part of a team to develop sales in truck air braking components and eventually working in the industrial bearing team.This involved various training courses and time with bearing manufacturers to extended training.Finally working in Huddersfield to transform an older branch of a bearing manufacturer into a profitable bearing branch for the company.
