Over 20 years' broad leveraged finance, credit risk and structured products experience, including 5 years in CLO portfolio management.I currently fulfil a growth leadership role for SMBC, working with partners to generate new product opportunities, with recent initiatives I led including a new €3B joint venture loan programme between SMBCE and Park Square Capital which closed in August 2017. Prior to joining SMBC as part of their acquisition of GE Capital's European leveraged finance business in September 2015, I also led, structured and negotiated GE's €1.75B unitranche fund ('ESSLP') and €3B senior debt fund with Ares. In addition to driving growth initiatives, I also originate lead arrange opportunities in the UK mid-cap leveraged finance market, both in London and the regional UK market where I used to be based.

In addition to having relationship management responsibility for the JV with Mubadala, I was responsible for new product development with partners such as Ares, with notable successes which I led, structured and developed, including the €1.75B unitranche (ESSLP) fund which was the recipient of numerous industry awards in 2013-15.
