Josh Barry is the Vice President and Chief Security Officer of Fertitta Entertainment. Appointed to his position in 2022, Barry provides oversight for the company’s global security enterprise. In his role, he leads the vision and strategy for protecting personnel and physical infrastructure of a robust portfolio. Assets falling under his oversight include over 600 restaurants, 10 hotels, eight casinos, several entertainment venues, and an NBA franchise. He is responsible for executive protection, investigations, policy development, guard force operations, and the selection and deployment of security technologies. Since joining Fertitta Entertainment, Barry overhauled the organization’s approach to player security for its NBA team, The Houston Rockets. He successfully navigated the opening of the highly acclaimed Post Oak Hotel and has worked diligently to standardize and synergize numerous operating procedures and resources. Barry holds eight years of sworn law enforcement experience, having served for the Houston Police Department and currently as a Sergeant in the Harris County Constable’s Reserve Command. From 2007 to 2015, Barry progressively managed security and life safety operations in the hospitality industry, holding senior leadership roles with Hilton Worldwide and Fairmont Hotels.Barry is a native of Massachusetts and graduated from Worcester State University with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration.
