Play a key role in all aspects of the business from developing new insurance products to meet client needs to business planning. Develop pricing models, analyse data sets and research key issues in the carbon markets. Scope of tasks executed:-Build, parametrize and explain output of pricing models-Investigate profitability of different green technologies (equity IRRs, NPVs ...etc)-Perform feasibility research on Least Developed Nations-Analyse large data sets for use in position papers-Influence key external individuals to buy and/or insure insurance products-Production of reports for international bodies (such as the World Bank)-Perform research on different Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) methodologies to investigate environmental impacts and sustainability of method usedOther work includes:-Discussions with legal experts to determine policy wording and interpretation of EU legislation-Advise CEO on impacts of above to company and products-Work alongside carbon analysts to gain understandings of the nuances of the CDM market

Management and investigation into improvements to a risk based capital model, as well as pricing both insurance and reinsurance contracts. Main tasks involved:Developing and explaining output of a risk based capital model (using Remetrica) to both technical (Actuaries) and non-technical (Senior Management and Underwriters) individualsAssisting in obtaining best value for money for Liberty for commercial decisions – for example involved in reinsurance modeling and purchasingWorking with other professions, such as underwriters and the claims team, to build pricing models and analyse outputProduction of monthly information packs for the Senior Management with information on premiums, losses, reinsurance recoveries, return on capital and exposures to natural catastrophes
