As a senior executive with over 15 years of experience in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, I have been fortunate to drive cutting-edge advancements in early- and late-stage drug development. My career has centered around building and leading high-performance teams and advancing research that directly impacts oncology, autoimmune, and infectious disease therapeutics. I thrive on the challenge of taking projects from concept to clinic, navigating the complexities of scientific discovery with precision and purpose.Currently, as Senior Director at Century Therapeutics, I lead a dynamic team working on groundbreaking allogeneic cell therapies. From the ground up, I’ve built processes that empower my team to push the boundaries of what's possible in cell differentiation and platform optimization. With multiple programs running concurrently, I manage cross-functional relationships and lead efforts to ensure that our pipeline consistently moves forward. Watching the progress from early development to our first clinical-stage therapeutic has been immensely rewarding, and I believe that fostering a culture of trust, respect, and accountability has been key to our success. Before joining Century, I spent nearly a decade at Janssen Research and Development (which is now J&J Innovative Medicine), where I played a pivotal role in therapeutic antibody development across several therapeutic areas. My team’s work directly contributed to the significant expansion of early-stage programs, and I had the privilege of leading research teams that took novel therapeutic candidates from design to First-in-Human dosing. One of my proudest moments was spearheading a technology initiative that enhanced the antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity (ADCC) of therapeutic antibodies—an innovation that continues to impact the field.Throughout my career, I have remained deeply committed to advancing science while also mentoring the next generation of leaders. I’m passionate about what I do, and I continue to look for new ways to bring groundbreaking treatments to patients who need them most.

Senior Director, Ipsc BiologyCentury Therapeutics, Inc Jan 2020 - PresentPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, UsCurrently, I manage cross-functional relationships, lead a 10-person team, and oversee multiple concurrent programs. Building the team from scratch, I focused on developing protocols and technology to differentiate iPSC cells into Immune Effector Cells. My leadership style keeps the team motivated, energized, and consistently productive, driving innovation and progress. One of my key contributions was leading the early development of the company’s first clinical-stage therapeutic program. This involved not only managing the technical aspects but also ensuring strategic alignment with long-term goals. I also introduced new methods that generate crucial data, allowing us to gauge progress effectively and uncover new opportunities for platform optimization.Additionally, I served as a critical sponsor for a high-priority research project (201), which was led by junior members of the organization. With little leadership experience, they faced significant challenges, and I took the opportunity to mentor them, sharing my industry knowledge to help set the project and its leaders up for success. This blend of technical innovation and leadership has been central to my role in the company’s growth. -
Associate Director R&D, Cell EngineeringCentury Therapeutics, Inc Feb 2019 - Jan 2020Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, UsI joined the company in 2018, shortly after its founding, with the goal of helping get the startup off the ground in a cutting-edge field. -
Principal Research ScientistThe Janssen Pharmaceutical Companies Of Johnson & Johnson Apr 2010 - Jan 2019Raritan, New Jersey, UsI advanced through two promotions during my tenure, ultimately leading a team of 10 employees, co-op students, and interns. My focus spanned autoimmune disease cancer drugs, metabolic drugs, and infectious disease drugs, all within the neurological education space. I led the team responsible for generating research-scale quantities of protein therapeutics and tool reagents to support early-stage therapeutic development. One of my key achievements was expanding the number of programs in clinical trials from 4 to 20. I accomplished this by restructuring workflows, team dynamics, and tools, ensuring smooth navigation of shifting priorities while maintaining high levels of employee engagement and productivity.I spearheaded the early stages of therapeutic antibody development, from designing antigens for immunization to planning for First-in-human dosing. This involved managing complex processes such as protein expression in various systems, molecular optimization, and planning for in vivo models.Additionally, I directed a cross-functional research team for a new solid tumor therapeutic and led a technology initiative to enhance ADCC through the generation of a low fucose cell line. My work in optimizing mammalian cell lines for high-level antibody expression, including developing patented technologies, further advanced our efforts. -
