CurrentProvision of network expertise in a new team of Project Managers / Technical Account Managers and IT Engineers, responsible for progressing Digital projects, assessing new applications / products. Design Authority for the council network and responsible for moving the network from a BT Estate into a modern hybrid model.To plan, design and install the future network for the council, to assess, test and proof of concept new ideas and new technologies to move the council network forward.To provide the expertise in moving the council forward to a fully digital first structureResponsible for the networking knowledge and input to programmes and projects as identified by the council’s digital roadmap, reporting to appropriate digital and transformation boards.Part of the team responsible for the identification and selection of technical products and tools for the organisation.Part of the team responsible for the translation of complex technical information for non-technical staff and customers.Maintain an understanding of current and future IT developments and relay to officers, internal and external working groups as opportunities for service improvements To research and develop new technology, products and services and demonstrate to IT staff where appropriateTo identify and select new technical products and tools for the organisation.
