BARRY H. PLATNICK is counsel to the New York City law firm of Serling Rooks Hunter McKoy Worob & Averill LLP. His practice emphasizes entertainment law, intellectual property and convergent media. He helps shape and maintain the careers of recording artists, producers, managers, production companies, media company executives, publishers and songwriters. He consults with various companies and individuals regarding their Internet strategies and the protection of their intellectual property rights and negotiates licensing agreements, joint venture and distribution arrangements between independent record labels and major distribution companies as well as for luxury goods manufacturers. Mr. Platnick received his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School.
