Manage the Mental Health (MNH), Department of Health and environment (DHE) and Facilities (FAC) IT teams. Duties include managing upgrades to various software which supports the various business areas I support. Also oversee approval of various change requests for these areas. Provide input to several customers during their project ideation processes. Seek to make continued improvements to the SDLC processes.

• Project Lead for large projects. Created Project plans using Open Workbench and Clarity. Responsible for tracking project through all phases of the project through implementation. • Team lead for the Eligibility team for the Argus Health Systems. This team is responsible for accepting and loading all group and member eligibility information on the Argus databases. This team consisted of 5 mainframe COBOL programmers and 2 C++ programmers. • Also was a project lead over several large projects while at Argus. Responsible for creating the Project Plan, organizing all resources necessary, conducting weekly status meetings and coordinated efforts through production implementation. • Tasked with a small portion of an investment project for a new investment for our company. My duties included analysis and writing technical design documents, by using business functional documents. The majority of this project was new development and included mainly batch programs. Minor DB2 table changes and a few minor CICS program changes. • Tasked with leading a small group of off-shore resources for a large project for vesting calculations. My duties included preparation of detailed technical specs, detailed testing specs, code review, set up testing data, and resolving technical issues. Our team was responsible for 65% of the programs coded for this project. The programs were Batch and On-line programs.• Lead a small team responsible for CICS coding for a project to add sub-advisor information to various displays and outputs. • Also responsible for all conversion programs to load new data to DB2 structures• Continued efforts for the DB Enhancement project.• Tasked with providing problem resolution for the users while contracts are being converted to utilize new calculation engine. I monitor the trouble ticket reporting system, do analysis, and provide approach to users. After user agreement, perform all coding, unit testing. Also responsible for coordinating user testing and provide all support for issues found. After user acceptance testing, I am responsible for migrating all changes to production.• Coded new CICS mapping screen to allow dynamic coding for the users to indicate what operational data to upload data to after running a calc with new calculation engine.• Responsible for all coding efforts to pull from new DB2 structures for plans converted to use new structures and allow non-converted cases to still download to use the new calculation engine.• Worked on Defined Benefits (DB) system portion of the investment system. Worked on multi-environment programs.

• Worked at Sprint LTD at Sprint World Headquarters (Campus). Worked on Access Request Management System (ARMS) system. The ARMS system is an on-line COBOL system consisting of 500+ CICS programs, as well as 70+ batch programs.• Responsible for coding 25 out of 55 (45%) programs for a large project. All of my coding assignments were completed before scheduled completion dates.• Performed analysis on requirements for a large project. Provided alternative to original proposal. The alternative I provided produced savings of almost 200 hours and $15,000 for the project.• Provided on-going support for code collisions between four major releases as well as monitoring the production support changes.• Tasked with being a mentor for two out of three programmers transferring to the ARMS team from another Sprint group.

• Worked at Sprint LDD in Corporate Woods. Working on the Facility Management System, which is a system consisting of over 1500 programs and 100+ batch programs. FMS system is COBOL, DB2, ADABASE, CICS, VSAM run on MVS system.• Worked in a Production Support role for the Facility Management System LDD. Responsible for resolving an average of 120 trouble tickets resolved per month. Did both data correction and root cause analysis of COBOL, DB2, ADABASE, CICS VSAM programs.• Performed conversion to OS/390 COBOL (COBOL 3) for selected pre-COBOL II programs still used on the FMS system.• Technical lead for a group of 6 – 8 Earnest & Young consultants working on Root Cause Analysis projects for the Customer Care group within FMS. I was responsible for the entire development lifecycle. I did the analysis, created Design documentation, did code review, coordinated testing and implementation of each project. • Performed a code re-write for several CICS COBOL, DB2, VSAM programs that were determined to be costing multi-million dollars of lost revenue per month to Sprint. Responsible for the entire lifecycle of the project from gathering requirements through unit, user and regression testing and migration to production.

• Acted in a Team Lead role. Responsible for checking the quality of entire systems for the Wrangler /Vanity Fair company while working at Lee Jeans in Merriam, KS. I managed 10 coding resources and 2 Quality Assurance resources on a Y2K project. • Responsible for several large systems which encompassed over 500 COBOL online CICS, IDMS, and Batch programs. • During Y2K conversion of one of the larger systems, also performed CONVERSION from VSAM files to IDMS, COBOL.

On-line submission of batch job to search the database for strings of text within IDEAL programs.• Gathered user and data requirements, performed analysis, coded, tested and implemented in-house system for Partitioned Data Set (PDS) library maintenance. This was to provide effective program code control.• Gathered user and data requirements for a PARADOX system for project tracking. Coded, tested and implemented project tracking system written in PARADOX.
