    Perception Systems Group, Mobility and Robotic Systems Section.Sep 2021–Present: DARPA RACER Program - Working in the Perception Sub-Team of the JPL-lead group participating in the DARPA RACER program with the goal of developing a variety of geometric and semantic perception systems to enable autonomous navigation and traversal capabilities for a fast-paced vehicle in complex off-road environments. - Leading various project management tasks, including organizing presentations and deliverables for frequent project review meetings.Jan 2021–Sep 2021: DARPA Subterranean (SubT) Challenge - Team CoSTAR - Member of the Artifact Sub-Team of Team CoSTAR, which was responsible for identifying and localizing artifacts (e.g. backpacks, cellphones and human survivors) in a mixture of challenging urban, tunnel and cave-like environments using the perception systems of a team of ground and aerial robots as part of the DARPA SubT Challenge. - Gained hundreds of hours of experience with experimental work, technical challenges,logistics and teamwork during field tests at a variety of locations across the US.Feb 2020–Present: Mars Sample Return (MSR) Mission - Trained deep neural network models and developed benchmarking software for sample tube localization using datasets gathered in the Mars Yard. - Worked on ROS-based simulation software for developing tube depot construction andrecovery strategies with the Perseverance and Fetch rovers respectively. - Participated in an end-to-end experiment with the Athena rover in the Mars Yard to demonstrate the feasibility of terrain-relative navigation and sample tube localization.Feb 2020–Present: InVADER Mission - Developed software for simulation of the shape and growth of black smoker hydrothermalvent chimneys using a mathematical model. - Developed ROS-based simulation of the InVADER in-situ articulated vision platform for planning future experimental data gathering at vent sites.
