As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner for IBM I support Acquisitions coming into Global Business Services. I also provide direct support for the growing Salesforce Practice as well a handful of others. I previously supported the Talent Acquisition Optimization group within the Talent & Transformation Practice where I was responsible for the integration of the Kenexa RPO business unit into IBM Software Group and subsequently IBM GBS/GPS. I have handled human resources activities in support of the RPO employees and management ranging from day to day guidance in employee relations issues to the education, training and implementation of IBM programs into heritage Kenexa as part of its integration into IBM.

I came to Kenexa Technology as the HR Manager supporting the RPO operations comprised of the former clients and employees of StraightSource. Eventually, the role migrated into that of the Human Resources Business Partner for the entire RPO business unit in the company responsible for a population that ranged from 300 to over 800 globally at the point of the acquisition by IBM. In addition to day to day human resources support for the RPO business unit, in my role I also picked up responsibility for the domestic and international benefits programs. Through the course of five years through effective policy management we were able to consistently renew our benefits offerings with little or no (3 consecutive years) additional cost to our employees. In addition, I was given the task of upgrading the companies HRIS tool from several disparate systems to one global tool. After an RFP evaluation I recommended Workday as our solution and successfully implemented the tool and launched on time and under budget saving the company an estimated $1.2mm in costs over the contract period. During my time as part of the HR team in Kenexa I also assisted in or drove acquisition/integration efforts for the Kenexa acquisition of StraightSource, Salary.com, Outstart , Inc., John Robert’s Associates (New Zealand/Australia) and Batrus Hollweg, Inc. When the IBM acquisition was begun I played an integral role in the due diligence gathering and in the subsequent acquisition, transition and integration activities working closely with Kenexa leadership, IBM HR Business Development and the IBM HR Transition Team.

Joined this small RPO firm as the company’s first Human Resources Manager. My initial focus was to drive a significant hiring initiative to increase the company headcount by 40% given the expansion of current business and the addition of several new clients. As part of that effort I revamped and streamlined the sourcing and screening process allowing for an increase in hiring efficiency and quality. I was also immediately involved in bringing swift resolution to an EEOC case that had begun a month prior to my arrival. The company quickly grew prompting an expansion into additional short-term space to accommodate the growth. I developed and administered the company’s first comprehensive benefits plan. Implemented and managed the payroll system via ADP. Oversaw the planning and execution of several corporate events. The company was acquired by Kenexa Technology and I assisted in the acquisition and transition of the employee population, benefits, and payroll to the new company.

Worked with the HR Director for this Allied Health staffing firm that provided travel nurses and specialist in several modalities. I handled HR issues, payroll, benefits enrollment and billing, and recruiting. I drove the recruitment effort for all new recruiters up to and including sourcing and media placement, interviewing, selection, new hire orientation, training, and new hire paperwork allowing the company to go through a growth initiative that doubled the size of the company in six months. I was also the lead in preparing the company for an audit (on the employee/nurse side) that allowed to company to successfully receive its first Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) certification which enabled the firm to compete for additional business and helped to pave the way for the eventual purchase of the firm by AMN Healthcare.

Helped to grow a small staffing company known as Global Employers Network, Inc. from four employees to a successful Recruitment Process Outsourcing (RPO) enterprise with a $20 million annualized run rate and 150 employees. Developed and administered the company’s first comprehensive benefits plan. Implemented and managed the payroll system via ADP. Used ADP Report Smith, Excel, and Access to create a reporting system. Created and implemented the company policy manual. Designed and wrote the company newsletter. Oversaw the planning and execution of several corporate events. Assisted in the development of an online staffing management system known as eJobs SMS to monitor the entire hiring process. As a result of the development of eJobs SMS and the infusion of investor capital I helped to launch a branding and product/corporate marketing campaign as the product was prepared to roll out for customized external client use. During my role as HR Director I also assisted in acquisition of three boutique staffing/consulting firms that helped to expand the company’s market presence and service offerings.
