I was with Ramboll since April 2013 when I joined the Glasgow office as part of the building services team.I was with the Glasgow office until November 2016 when I relocated to work out of the Gibraltar office, initially on a secondment and latterly as part of the Gibraltar team. In Gibraltar I was the lead MEP engineer within the local team and latterly was seconded to the Southampton office to work as the MEP resident engineer as part of the Employer's team on the GAAFAR tunnel project, successfully delivering a vehicle and pedestrian tunnel under the airport runway.

As a Senior Electrical Engineer with SVM Glasgow, I reported directly to the Director and headed up the electrical team in the office.My role encompassed working on, and managing, projects from inception through to completion. I was actively involved with managing the workload with the junior electrical engineers and mechanical engineers. My responsibilities included project management, undertaking detailed design to the required standards, preparing specifications and tender documents, taking full consideration of CDM and QA requirements. I ensured close liaison with clients which resulted in the production of low energy and sustainable solutions meeting current Section 6 of the Scottish Building Regulations and very good BREEAM ratings.I was primarily involved in the design of low voltage power systems, general & emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, intruder detection & alarm systems, CCTV, access control systems, lightning protection & data communication installations.

At WSP I was employed as a Senior Electrical Engineer. My role encompassed working on a project from inception through to completion. I was actively involved with managing the workload with the junior and graduate engineers. I worked closely with notable clients during my time at WSP, these being the Royal Bank of Scotland, RBS, and the British Airport Authority, BAA, delivering various RBS office projects within Glasgow city centre and various projects at Glasgow and Edinburgh airports.Responsibilities included managing projects undertaking detailed design to the required standards, preparing specifications and tender documents, taking full consideration of CDM and QA requirements.
