- Carrying out plan checks for all domestic and minor to medium scale commercial projects.- Site inspections to domestic and commercial projects. Site inspections with Senior/Principal surveyor to larger scale commercial projects.- Customer and client care, offering technical and procedural advise by phone, email or face to face.- Relationship building with existing and new clients and active promotion of the service.- Record keeping of site notes and visits- Checking of new applications to ensure the correct fee is calculated in accordance with proposed works. Providing individual fee quotes where necessary.- Continued training and development via attendance of CPD events, job shadowing, and building control apprenticeship degree related training.- Working towards full professional membership with CABE/CIOB as part of apprenticeship programme.

Providing desktop support to local office team, as well as network and server administration/troubleshooting for onsite server supporting all 6 Essex based offices. Ensuring all data was backed up daily. Report writing using Microsoft Access and database administration and cleansing. In charge of all hardware for the local office.Where appropriate also helping with the day to day running of the office, either assisting with data input or liaising with customers. Our role was to find work placements for year 10 and 11 school students as well as extended placements for GNVQ students. To manage these placements and make sure all environments were safe and appropriate for students to work in.This was a small charitable organisation with very limited resources so it was not uncommon to be switching between an ICT and more general office role during the course of each day!
