International Corruption Unit

Managing a team of 12 specialist investigators and analysts, I direct and drive complex bribery and corruption investigations, securing proactive and reactive evidence capture to mitigate serious offending around bribery, money laundering and fraud. Leading intelligence gathering drawn from covert and overt operations, I have secured numerous convictions, cash seizures, restraints and confiscations; developing innovative strategies to manage continually evolving offending. I assess and manage exceptional risk and sensitive intelligence, ensuring that the operational objectives of this unit, and the wider NCA, are met and that all activity is legal and proportionate.I have developed and maintain resilient relationships, nationally and internationally, facilitating the appropriate exchange of intelligence and best practice. Providing operational and strategic briefings at the most senior levels, I report on current and critical operations and highlight areas of emerging potential threat and risk. I ensure the effective training, guidance and development of my team alongside diplomatic, yet robust, intrusive supervision to secure integrity and the highest standards of service delivery. Understanding the benefits of a motivated team, I proactively build morale and provide clarity of purpose and desired outcomes in often challenging environments. I also serve on an on call basis as a specialist surveillance officer. As an operational commander, I set strategy, identify resources and direct covert activity whilst managing exceptional risk to individuals and the organisation.

Organised Crime Command - Special Projects

Managing a specialist team, I planned and directed complex proactive and reactive covert investigations into serious organised crime activity. Operating at the highest level of proactive law enforcement, I Implemented and directed multi-agency operations, drawing together partners from regional police forces, British Transport Police, UK Border Force and Immigration.Challenging organised crime networks operating nationally and internationally, I investigated serious offenders involved in the trafficking of class A drugs and the supply, possession and use of firearms and associated money laundering offences. This covert intelligence evidence gathering successfully mitigated offending and secured the arrest and prosecution of prolific offenders.

Homicide And Serious Crime Command

Investigating the most complex and serious crimes, including homicide and risk to life and corporate manslaughter, I brought a determined and tenacious approach, demonstrating innovation and ingenuity; driving intelligence operations to challenge and apprehend violent and serious offenders. Specialising in the management and examination of serious crime scenes, I drove the coordination of multi-agency responses. Gathering and managing highly sensitive and confidential information, I utilised advanced analytical techniques and compiled detailed and complex reports and presented compelling evidence at the Central Criminal Court and coroners courts. I also held various additional specialist roles: Advanced Exhibits Officer - Managing high volumes of exhibits involved in these serious crimes, I worked to pressurised time frames, logging, storing and categorising exhibits, often drawn from multiple crime scenes, unfailingly maintaining evidence integrity and security. Advanced Interviewer - I conducted demanding interviews with both suspects and witnesses, offering a thoughtful and sensitive approach to bereaved families and those under investigation, I balanced compassion whilst meeting exacting investigative requirements. Home office Large Major Enquiry System (HOLMES) - I received, registered and checked intelligence entering the system during major Investigations. Assessing and identifying the need for fast action, I held the most up to date investigative view, ensuring exceptional quality control of evidence. Advanced Disclosure - I ensured adherence to exacting compliance around disclosure. I supported numerous complex Investigations, paying meticulous attention to accuracy to secure convictions.

Criminal Investigation Department

Working in a busy and diverse London borough, I held responsibility for investigations, from initial planning and strategy setting, pursuing lines of enquiry and completion of case papers through to presenting evidence at court. I contributed to a range of serious investigations from attempted homicide to burglary cases and domestic violence, identifying high harm suspects and managing serious risk, through determined evidence gathering to secure convictions.

Frontline Policing

I undertook a range of operational roles, providing immediate response to critical incidents and management of a wide range of operational activities. I brought a considered approach to this role, demonstrating the ability to manage a diversity of issues, influence widely and process information quickly and accurately.

I managed the stock levels of diverse products in this busy company, leading purchase order processes and liaising with key suppliers to secure the best prices and manage demand forecasts.
