Working with the Chairman/Board, I held the primary responsibility and accountability for driving the agreed strategic direction of the Club and to lead manage and grow the revenues and profit aligned to the strategic and operational priorities in order to reinvest in the squads through the academy to the 1st team.Principal Responsibilities:Provide direction and leadership to the organisation, Executive team (Heads) and all employees of the Club. Develop the performance of the Club through setting challenging and ambitious targets.Drive income across all revenue streams in order to provide the Manager with the best possible resources to invest in playing squads at all levels.Lead and execute, through the Head of departments, the day to day activities of the Club in line with the annual targets/Business Plan. Recruit, deploy, motivate, manage and develop resources to ensure maximum organisational effectiveness.Produce annual budgets, ensuring alignment with the Strategic Plan, being always mindful of controlling costs and ensuring the Club is operated within the UEFA financial fair play parameters.Lead the initiatives for the funding of Club plans, developments (new stadium) and activities in conjunction with the Chairman of the Club Ensure that the Academy has the necessary information, support and resources to continue to build fit and successful squads to ensure a bright future for the Club. Sustain regular contact with the Football League and ensure that we deliver on the expectations of our key stakeholders. Act as the Club’s principal media spokesperson, together with the Chairman of the Club Ensure an effective Public Affairs programme is implemented and that the best of relations are maintained with all internal parties and other key external opinion formers. Promote the positive image and reputation of Club at all times.
