Responsible for all accounting functions, cash flow and tax projections of this private real estate company comprised of 33 limited partners and over $180 million in assets. Oversaw all aspects of the accounting cycle including the preparation of monthly financial statements, banking relationships, payroll processing, and the tax preparation of partnership, corporate and personal returns.

Executive position overseeing all accounting functions, tax preparation, internal controls and information technology for a large real estate partnership (and affiliates) comprised of over 300 limited partners and over $250 million in assets. Performed monthly consolidation of 16 real estate holdings that included multi-family, retail, commercial and senior living projects. Effectively managed cash flow and financial reporting for 28 separate entities located throughout 8 different states. Completed full financial statement audit with Ernst & Young.

Hired as Controller of the San Diego Regional Office to create the accounting department and develop all internal controls. After 12 months, promoted to the corporate office as Assistant Corporate Controller.

Performed forensic analysis of accounting documents in numerous class action securities fraud cases.

Completed 6 months of training classes concentrating on audit techniques and personal and corporate tax law. Obtained the ability to quickly understand the internal operations of the companies under audit.
