Application highlights include .Net Core app services, Azure PaaS APIs, Kiosk Embedded app development (WPF), designed a campaign and promotion engine for maintenance of ads at a kiosk and backend website (SQL + Angular), image manipulation and maintenance (Angular), PCI Certification of code and Point of Sale (Pos) devices.• Mentored 6 engineers in best practice coding methodologies and design patterns. • Designed and built a scalable Azure based Data Ingestion Process that allowed the existing system to be scaled to deal with hundreds of thousands of records from mobile devices and IoT devices. It was build using Azure IoT Hub, Streaming analytics, Azure Service bus, Azure Functions with the final product going into Azure SQL. Then additional archiving and reporting on top of it in Azure Data Lake. Innovated an approach that would require a single generic data processing compared to original plan of approx. 400 functions.• Cryptocurrency Trader - Researched and wrote an Azure governance implementation plan for a very High Risk client. AAD Locking down and security was of upmost importance as well as no downtime as the azure resources had to handle about 40 000 records a minute and downtime would cost 6 figure losses. The problem to solve was moving the azure tenants and subscriptions between two countries and the splitting out of resources between production and dev test new AAD. AAD, Azure Privileged Identity and Enterprise Agreement Portal were used in the implementation.• Led the addition of many features to a commercial sales management platform, using angular and WPF. Built data visualizations using SQL Optimizations, Azure Data Lake warehousing, and charting that provide up to date and accurate sales data, allowing drill down and fast results to determine the profitability of vending locations. Designed and built a very easy to use planogram design feature using Angular, allowing users to plan and move items in store to fully optimize their sales and inventory. This was integrated(through WebApi and Cloud Services) with local kiosks running WPF and would allow users to confirm locations inventory and synchronizing with the web platform live.

An opportunity arose to start an adventure of backpacking around the world. Travelled around 22 countries and 5 continents and visited some of the remotest places on earth from the amazon to lost ancient cities to the biggest cities in the world . Was an amazing experience that gave me a new understanding of the world and really helped me grow me as a person. Once i had returned to South Africa i returned to my previous company
