Responsible for assembly activities and hardware integration for two large COTS-based programs, consisting of both large rack assembly/cabling activities, and smaller scale, electro-mechanical subassemblies that were later integrated. Established effective relationships with Physical Design teams during engineering assembly drawing reviews to enhance producibility, improve drawing accuracy and reduce cost. Conducted material reviews to ensure procurement activities could support schedules. Supported assembly teams on daily basis to ensure hardware was built to workmanship standards, exceeded quality and maintainability requirements, and schedule and budget constraints were met. Presented results to program management, consisting of assembly, test and integration of greater than 200 racks of equipment. Supported final hardware installation at both domestic and international sites: ensure readiness for shipment as well as site integration activities after delivery. Responsible for successful transition from Physical Design to Manufacturing of complex RF chassis containing multiple components, wire harnesses, discrete wiring, and RF cabling. Developed assembly sequence to ensure product was producible and met quality requirements. Suggested several design improvements to increase efficiency of production.
