I personally wrote, on Azure, the world's largest spreadsheet with 2.4b data items on hundreds of cores (each cell a .NET object); led the team creating Azure reference architectures (aka.ms/msarch), co-wrote the book "Enterprise Cloud Strategy" from Microsoft Press which lays out a roadmap for CIO's and CTO's to move enterprises to the cloud; personally wrote several Azure/IoT applications; many executive presentations and keynotes.Other epic applications I and my team did included animal communications using Kinect; automotive telemetry capture and analysis; advanced financial/portfolio modeling in Azure using actor frameworks; various machine learning applications, using AzureML and OSS tools; and many others. -

My team also pioneered many leading-edge technologies, working closely with the Microsoft product teams as well as market thought leaders. I personally wrote and maintained the "Microsoft IT Strategy," a document which outlined the way forward for this large multinational organization. Finally, I also created the first data science team in Microsoft from a group of PhD mathematicians and statisticians. -
