About Barry Cotton

Whilst encouraging people to stay at home during lockdown, by delivering groceries, I started working with Dojo to help independent business get back on their feet with improved, trusted and easy to understand card payment services. It's amazing how complicated and confusing the provision of such services are and whilst we are encouraged to use card payments more, it shouldn't be made so difficult for merchants.I've been in sales for over 30 years and whilst I continue to enjoy making personal sales I also thrive on developing and managing sales teams. My sales and sales management experience includes personal sales successes in both B2B and B2C environments. I lead by example and have provided leadership, training and business development to a variety of industry sectors. Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a confident and articulate presenter with high levels of integrity, professionalism and customer care. I'm a careful and creative problem solver with an entrepreneurial approach and an energetic, self-motivated enthusiasm for doing everything to the best of my ability and with a little flair. I thrive on building relationships and developing rapport in order to provide solution based sales and service and influence recommendations and referral marketing.My previous role saw the return to familiar territory where I had once set a new UK Sales Record for Vorwerk, a German "Super-brand" selling premium priced domestic appliances through Direct Sales and referral marketing. One of my greatest achievements in the B2B arena came at The Elvetham Hotel where I managed the revenue growth of around 33% to £6m with clients like BAE Systems and Lloyds Bank amongst others.I have a calm and professional approach to work, relying on a consultative manner and I care about everything I do. You'll see this in the passion generated when I'm dealing with things that matter most.
