Provided Application Architecture and Design services to the Virtual Lifetime Electronic Record (VLER) program's Nationwide Health Information Network (NwHIN) Veterans Authorizations and Preferences (VAP) team. The VAP provides enterprise services for authorizing the release of Private Health Information to external partner systems. Provide technical and development direction to teams interfacing and developing the VAP system. Implement and provide support for development (Agile) process.

Technical and development lead supporting the development efforts for the Clinical Data Service (CDS) v3 and Health Data Repository at the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office of Information.

Supported the design and implementation of the Clinical Data Service v1.0 and Health Data Repository - Interim Message Store (HDR-IMS) stand-alone Java Server application. The application is responsible for storing and retrieving standardized and computable clinical information that comprises the Veteran’s Electronic Health Record (EHR). Supported client as technical lead on the project by providing direction to developers, mentoring developers, helping them to overcome obstacles.

At Think Tools, we developed tools used by businesses and governments when making complex decisions. The software that we created included a thick MFC/C++ client application and SOAP web services implemented in Java and hosted on an Apache Tomcat servlet container. My responsibilities at Think Tools included design and development of the client application modules, implementation of the SOAP service layer, and design and implementation of modules within the Java business layer.

At Metiom, we developed Java web based application used by companies for procurement of goods. I was responsible for the design and implementation of dynamic web modules under development during my tenure there.

During my short stint at North Systems, we worked on various application used for sales and and customer relationship management. I was responsible for the design and implementation of the dynamic portions of various web application modules under development at the time.

At Experior, we were developing a Java Swing application thick client application and J2EE server application for persisting contractor licensing information. The thick client was deployed throughout the country at training centers and connected to the centralized server application. I was responsible for designing and implementing both client and server applications.
