Managing a team of 6 engineers assessing development and engineering works in Melbourne’s South East growth areas. The responsibilities include:- Ensuring development proposals in the region satisfy flood protection requirements within the catchment, achieve stormwater quality objectives and achieve adequate outfall.- Undertake functional design review of DSS funded pipelines, waterways, wetlands and RBs - Review and approve stormwater management strategies for large multi stage subdivisions- Issue works offers for the delivery of new drainage infrastructure under the Development Services Scheme model - Manage all statutory referral obligations for developments in the regions including responding to planning permit referrals for developments and subdivision, issuing consent to certification of Plans of Subdivision and Statement of Compliance

In February 2020 my role at Moonee Valley was expanded to absorb responsibility for the management of Council’s civil design team. I managed an additional 4 civil design engineers deliver design and tender documentation for road, drainage and shared path capital works projects.

Managing a team of 3 engineers responsible for reducing flood risk within the municipality through- the investigation and analyses (hydrological and hydraulic) of reported flooding events- development and prioritisation of structural flood mitigation options- delivery of a municipal-wide flood study generating flood maps for current and future climatic conditions- utilisation of flood mapping data to reduce flood risk through development approvals and implementation of flood planning controls - working collaboratively with state government agencies to achieve improved drainage outcomes for the community

Tasked with all things drainage. The design was required to incorporate a number ofsurcharge pits to provide passive irrigation to the reserve. Car Park Design- Treadwell Road Car Park, North EssendonExpansion of existing car park into neighbouring allotment acquired byCouncil. Various parking bay arrangements considered in accordancewith AS2890 to maximise parking yield. Road Design Projects- St Leonards Crescent Road RealignmentRedesign of road alignment to include removal of an existing chicane andprovision of additional on street parking and traffic calming measures.
