Selected to lead operations of two production sites to streamline costs, minimize overhead, adjust staffing, and ensure production schedules achieve on time or ahead of schedule targets. Directed two Plant Managers with 130 employees and 15 Maintenance and Production Foreman in Louisville, KY and Newnan, GA facilities.* Implemented 5S lean manufacturing standards which transformed both facilities into cleaner and more efficient operations. Attained 16K hours of production per month across two plants.* Spearheaded integration of Microsoft Project Server software program which improved resource allocation, oversight of various business segments, and ability to effectively manage 150 jobs simultaneously. * Diversified operations when municipal marketplace changed which resulted in securing $30M Arizona Solona Abengoa Project. Allocated production to three different facilities, completed 10 weeks early, and saved $300K in freight expenses. * Negotiated two 4-year union member contracts which resulted in continuance of work and appropriate wage increases for employees. * Reduced number of safety incidents from 23 to 3 in three years.* Phased plant consolidation of Newnan to Louisville over three year period which forecasted to save $1M annually. Reduced staff from 36 to 3, consolidated product line, and added stainless steel capacity in Louisville.* Coordinated $900K line relocation project to convert bay in Louisville for stainless steel production which included breakdown of equipment, reassembly, removal of carbon dust, installation of doors for separation, and new parts. * Established balanced loading and strategic scheduling in production to optimize job load. Achieved ahead of schedule production of large projects which enabled capacity to add smaller jobs for increased monthly production.* Created fulltime weekend shift of three 12 hour days which aided to meet project deadlines and enhance workflow.

Promoted to Chief Financial Officer in 1999 with direct accountability for Controller and accounting team, as well as Information Technology Department for 125 year old company with business licenses across 46 states.* Nominated as CFO of the Year Finalist in Business First of Louisville, 2010 and 2011. * Led aggressive collection of accounts receivable that reduced line of credit from nearly $15M to zero in six months.* Spearheaded $30M merger and integrated cost accounting system, general ledger, accounts receivable and payable, and payroll which was instrumental in recognizing percent of cost spent.* Oversaw $3.5M in capital projects that included renovation of 14K square foot painting headquarters in Harrodsburg, Kentucky and 16K square foot expansion to double space for company’s Louisville offices.* Closely monitored $1M in annual insurance expenses involving 10 different policies to minimize premium increases. Overturned workers comp premium surcharge in two states which saved $600K.* Effectively handled $1M payment delay of 40 cargo containers shipped to Iraq. Coordinated international shipping and exportation through United States Secretary of State Department in compliance with international trade laws.* Increased earnings despite revenue decline of 12% while updating shop equipment, expanding garage project, and meeting increased tax liabilities for LIFO gain.* Segregated and captured overhead and costs of new paint division following purchase of three paint subcontractor companies to generate revenue through service contracts and maintenance of tank coatings for customers. * Integrated three communication systems across facilities, collaborating with IT department, and adding 32 new computers to obtain state of the art technology operations.
