Retired from my full-time CFO role in August 2021 and continued as a Non-Executive Director with Stowe Australia. My role is to provide support, advice and experience to the Stowe Australia Board, Executive and Management teams. I remain honored to be able to continue my involvement with Stowe Australia and the Stowe employees who remain the backbone of this great business.

Stowe Australia continues to be the leading privately owned Electrical & Communications Contractor in Australia with over 1,800 employees and forecast annual revenues over $700mil.My role as CFO/Director was to develop, implement and manage business strategies, plans, systems and financial budgets to achieve business aims and objectives and provide support to the business to ensure we meet the owners/shareholder, employees and customer needs.Provide leadership, direction, advice and development opportunities for the Finance, Administration and IT teams to ensure they have the skills, dedication and motivation to achieve the necessary business support.

Country Energy was a NSW Govt regional electricity distributor with over 840,000 customers, annual revenues in excess of $2 Billion and employing over 4,000 staff. During my nearly six years with Country Energy I managed many financial and administration areas of the business including the core Finance team, Taxation, AP team, Credit team, Financial Analysis, Treasury, Finance Systems, Corporate Finance and various project teams.In the position of General Manager Finance I was responsible for providing financial and commercial advice to the Shareholder (NSW Treasury) and managed Country Energy’s finance and reporting systems. This included managing internal control processes, external reporting, taxation, commercial accounting functions and the PeopleSoft development and Systems Support activity.

Global One was a joint venture organisation between Sprint (US), France Telecom and Deutsche Telekom. In 1999 Global One had turnover worldwide of $US1.3 billion and employed 3,500 staff. Global One, Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), provided long distance communications facilities for direct business, multinational and residential customers, employing 150 people in Australia & New Zealand and achieving Revenues of $US90million ($A140million) in 1999 (calendar year), growing from $US14million ($A23 million) in the first year of full trading in 1995.As the Chief Financial and Legal officer for the organisation I provided overall management and strategic direction for the Finance and Administrative areas of the company and provide key financial and strategic information to overseas management and parent companies.

I have worked in the Construction industry for over 35 years with private contractors and listed Companies. I held senior Finance roles including Finance Director, Company Secretary and included Board roles from the age of 30.
