Project LeadHarlem Gallery Of Science Dec 2020 - Jun 2024I worked with the Harlem Gallery of Science in a number of capacities to support both HGS and the City College of New York to develop student-centered programming, academics, and career opportunities for local youth of color to prepare for a career in the multibillion-dollar digital gaming industry. This included:- a 6-month long research project to develop a rich understanding of the role video games play in the lives of NYC students of color.- two years of public and private events that brought together NYC's gaming industry with high school and college student (which included a publication on eSports, featuring a chapter by Mayor Eric Adams).- Supporting the development, launch, and management of the Gaming Pathways, a public option for a career in digital games through CCNY.- Building the team and process, then overseeing the development of, Video Games: The Great Connector, an exhibition about invisible design of video games and how youth use games to shape their life. - Developing and overseeing the HGS' communications strategy (email, web, print, booths, and social media). -
