I am an engaging nonprofit executive fueled by strategy and curiosity with experience leading four organizations. Undaunted by complexity, I am politically astute and navigate challenges with strategic clarity and financial savvy; I listen deeply to the communities I help to serve; and I excel at building consensus and facilitating difficult conversations. In addition, thanks to my roots in theater, I’m as comfortable emceeing an employee event as I am engaging diverse stakeholders. Most recently, I led the revitalization of San Francisco’s beloved Circus Center, which provides transformational social, emotional, and physical education to community members of all ages and backgrounds. Together with the board, I raised over $2.25M in new donations, resulting in contributed income increasing over 600% over 10 years. Under my leadership we also launched a number of innovative performance and outreach programs, including bringing the circus arts to children in the city’s historically marginalized and under-resourced Tenderloin district.Previously, as chief executive of two public policy organizations, I built coalitions to amplify the reach and impact of national policy campaigns for the 2009 stimulus package, the 2010 federal budget, the Affordable Care Act, immigration reform, and more. Prior to that, I led a performing arts center in Atlanta to financial health by developing new sponsorship partners in the business community.I live in the Bay Area with my family, who not only tolerate, but celebrate, my abiding love of karaoke.
