After failing at retirement, currently employed as VP, Commissioning for rapidly growing Utility Scale Solar EPC company (Blue Ridge Power).Solar Commissioning is a well-documented and controlled process to initiate the startup and operation of a solar PV plant and interconnection facility. It includes the process of planning, documenting, scheduling, testing, adjusting, verifying, and training, to provide a facility that operates as a fully functional system per the Owner’s project requirements. Commissioning takes a facility from an inactive condition and “brings it to life”.

My new part-time role is technical advisor to the Commissioning organization; assisting the transition of leadership in preparation for my second attempt at retirement. It has been a challenging and wonderful adventure working for a great company such as Blue Ridge Power.

With the support of executive management and the help of a very talented team, this goal has been accomplished.
