Achieved success in role, developing a global customer service manual for service adoption, creating SoW's & delivered Programme change to outsource UK network services to a new provider. Championed strategic completion of insourcing of a Data Centre build-out and services.

Responsible for all aspects of business technology and IT leadership, enabling cultural change via the use of ‘fit for purpose’ infrastructure and technology solutions, such as Data Centre, EUC and Middleware services. Definition and execution of an IT strategy, vision and technology roadmap, championing an initiative to ‘insource’ the data centre provider and develop innovative new solutions for CEO / UK MOD level approval. Engaged collaboratively with senior stakeholders, providing guidance and leadership on IT elements to teams within finance, HR and sourcing functions. Full remit for control of a $9m IT budget, overseeing all elements of vendor and supplier management. Leadership, management & motivation of 12 FTEs, with a contractor workforce of in the region of 40 staff. Spearheaded an uplift across managed services, including DB support & middleware services, eliminating obsolescence in the operating environment and versioning of services.

Responsible for all aspects of Programme leadership, taking technical and delivery ownership of two major Data Centre migration and closure initiatives within the UK. Engaged with C-Suite level stakeholders. Key role as part of a $4m Programme to divest and decommission legacy DC environments, simplifying the technical footprint within the UK. Set vision, strategy and governance to deliver against Programme goals.

Responsible for all aspects of service delivery management, leveraging best practice across 8 businesses with 10,000+ CI’s, defining a fully business-aligned ITIL strategy and CMDB / ITIL toolset for Europe.
