Program consisted of 6 offshore hitches (28 days), rotated among active rigs, then 6 onshore hitches (21 days), rotated among various onshore departments.3. Hitches involved attachment to each role & department offshore.4. Roles included: Painter, Seaman, Roustabout, Watchstander, Roughneck, Pumpman, Derrickman, Assistant Driller, Driller, Mechanic, Electrician, Safety & Training Officer, Tourpusher, Barge Engineer & Offshore Installation Manager5. Tasks was to assist mentor with their tasks / projects for the day / period.6. These ranged from: sweeping & washing the piperack deck, banksman duties while raising & lowering cargo from supply vessels, making up & breaking out of pipe on the rig floor, incident root cause investigations, planning for major rig modifications during 5 yearly Class special surveys.7. Included completion of 6 e-learning modules & logbooks for Assistant Driller Trainee Program. These were completed, compiled & submitted to mentors offshore & onshore.8. Program also included completion of other e-learning & classroom courses such as a Paint Inspectors Course, NEBOSH, IWCF Well Control Level 3 & 4, Plug & Abandon, Stuck Pipe Course, HPHT Training, Designated Security Duties, Stability & Ballast Control, Diploma in Leadership and Management.9. Onshore hitches involved attachment to the different departments with guidance from HODs or mentors to perform tasks as per the department’s standard procedures & deliverablea.10. Appraisals were performed by mentors after both offshore and onshore. These were mostly very positive, providing necessary feedback on candidate growth for future operations role. 11. Program was suspended after 4 hitches due to operational needs of the company at the time, to focus on numerous concurrent rig reactivation projects in Singapore.
