Barry has started the National Cider Association with the help of cider producers across the country. It has grown to over 100 members in 6 months (150 after 3 years) and had immense impact on the industry with upcoming taxation, legislation and start-up association success, including saving the sector 15-20million annually on Excise Duty, a tax that was to impact the sector on July 1st, 2022 which I was able to have cider removed from under the CRA definition of wine in front of FINA.
