Rocketship Solutions is a small business owned and operated by Barry and Dawn Sampson. It was established in 2008 to provide digital learning solutions to individuals and organisations. We have always been a virtual company, working from home whenever possible. As a result, we can keep our costs low and make sure our prices are affordable.From 2009 to 2019 the company operated primarily as a partner and part owner of Onlignment Limited and then Skills Journey Limited (previously named The More Than Blended Learning Company). From 2020 onwards we are working solely as an independent business.We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients that includes individuals, small and large business, charities, local authorities and NGOS. As we don’t have (and never will have) external investors we are driven by what we believe to be right, not by shareholders and venture capitalists chasing profits.

More Than Blended Learning (>BL) is a refreshingly different but simple new approach to the design of learning solutions. Blended solutions combine contrasting learning methods and media in order to maximise effectiveness and efficiency. The More Than approach goes a step further to ensure the blend results in application to real-world tasks and the learner is supported along the whole length of their learning journey.This new company has been established to promote the More Than Blended Learning portfolio of products and services. I am one of three founding directors, alongside Clive Shepherd and Eugenie King.

Onlignment helps organisations to learn and communicate online, taking advantage of the latest technologies to transform organisational performance. Our strategic consulting, workshops, masterclasses and design services are all aimed at helping you to better align your online learning and communications to your business needs.

As part of the Retail Learning and Development team I managed the use of technology in learning (elearning, LMS, e-assessment, blogs, forums etc.). My team were also responsible for all first line learning queries for the retail population.

Managed the HR function across all stores in South East London. Managed the recruitment, development and HR support for the roll out of Bhs Food Stores (An Iceland and Bhs joint venture).
